Becoming wet

Wet causes chemical or physical changes and those can ruin the goods. ( e.g. stick together, step in chemical reaction, cause a short circuit, dissolve, swell up ) Becoming wet is caused by tree reasons.

High humidity level inside the package: It can be locked out of the package using thousand times more efficient water vapour permeability barrier foil than normal PE for wrapping.

Container rain: It is dripping water from the top and wall of the container. It ruins the packaging of the goods first which can’t save the product after that. ( e.g. Outer paper becoming wet ) Special desiccant can be used against container rain. (Container dri, Container dry, Absorpole, etc. ) It makes humidity control during the transportation and keeps the humidity level under the dew point eliminating vapour condensation.

Wet pallet: Wooden pallets are always wet. Corrugated boxes absorb water from the pallet. Plastic foil and paper cartons are not appropriate to separate boxes form the pallet. Plastic is slippery, paper will be wet too. You can use water proof anti-slip separator paper or plastic pallets. Plastic pallets are lighter and phytosanitary certificate is not needed export documentation.
